Barton Peveril

Forthcoming textile workshops at Barton Peveril College, Eastleigh

23 January 2010. Taster day 9.30-4.00pm £40 Textiles - stencilled wall hanging. Discover the impressive results achieved using various hand painting techniques including; sponging, mark making, hand printing and masking. Explore colour, pattern and design by learning the technique of stencilling to produce a finished wall hanging.

23 February 2010. Six week course 6.45-9.15pm Beginner / Intermediate £60 Textiles – Painting & Printing. An interest in pattern, print and texture is beneficial along with a desire to experiment and develop your interest further. By the end of the course you will have learnt the prime skills of collograph printing, stencilling and screen printing. You will have produced fabric and paper samples and learnt simple but effective hand painting and mark making techniques.

27 March 2010. Taster day 9.30-4.00pm £40 Textiles – Lino printed & hand painted lightshade. Explore the traditional technique of block printing using Lino. Simple images will be created and printed onto paper. Hand painting and mark making techniques will be explored using fabric paints. All of these elements will be combined in the finished stages of decorating and creating a light shade.
